Terms and Conditions

  1. Online registration will be opened on the 2nd January 2018 until 9th March 2018.

  2. Registration fee for each team is MYR 188.00.

  3. Payment must be made to:-

  5. Full payment must be made before 1 st April 2018. Each team need to pay the deposit RM 150.00 within the registration period and the proof of payment must be emailed to vindre.challenge@gmail.com.

  6. All entries must be a group of four (4) students and/or one (1) advisor. Application not in accordance to these rules will be automatically disqualified.

  7. Only one entry per student is allowed.

  8. Numbers of group participations are limited to the first 25 teams only.

  9. Accommodation will be provided based upon request and additional payment will be charged.

  10. The invention must follow the given problem statement according to the respective track :
    Track 1 : Electrical-electronic and mechanical engineering based

  11. The aim of the product is to create a reliable and an alternative solution(s) to the real-time problems that industries are facing now.

  12. Foods will be provided for participants and advisor for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

  13. All correspondence must be in English.

  14. Advisor must be among lecturers and is not allowed to be directly involved in the design and the assembly processes, as well as during the presentation. The role of the advisor in this competition is mainly to advise and oversee the progress of the group.

  15. All decisions made by the judges are final.

  16. By participating in this competition, participants have to adhere to all the challenges terms and regulations.

  17. Participants need to arrive at Foyer 1, IIUM Cultural Centre (ICC), for registration on the 14th April 2018 (Friday) from 9.00 a.m. to 10.00 a.m. Organizer has the right to disqualify any group arriving beyond the designated time without prior notice.

  18. Participants must be punctual at all times and follow the instructions given by the committee members.

  19. Grievance:

The competitor (griever) may appeal the decision of the head judges to the Grievance Committee by filling in a  grievance form. Grievances must be written submitted by the griever to the operation centre from the beginning of the competition till 10 minutes after the competition ends. In this case, the Grievance Committee will be convened and make a final decision. All decisions made by the Grievance Committee are final.
